About us

Hello! I am so fortunate to be able to combine 2 of my favorite things, making things and helping people. As an Occupational Therapist specializing in geriatrics I have a unique perspective that allows me to creatively adapt everyday items to promote independence in individuals with physical challenges. I also understand that no matter our unique challenges and aging process, that we all should have the right to maintain our individuality and sense of style. I strive to create stylish walker and wheel chair bags and accessories as well as adaptive equipment to help promote independence (and style!) in all. If you have any specific challenges or requests for adaptations, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Our story

A few years ago, a family friend named Linda was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

Linda had always been the picture of style and grace. But suddenly she was facing new challenges and an uncertain future.

After a stay in physical therapy, she came home with a walker.

And tied to it was a gray, flimsy hospital bag.

It didn’t feel like Linda.

So I decided to make her something different.

A bag that was not only functional, but beautiful too.

Something that reflected her style.

When she saw it, the smile on her face said everything.

She looked like herself again.

And more importantly, she felt a little more independent.

Our Mission statement

Occupational therapy is about helping people stay independent.

Sometimes the smallest things make the biggest difference.

That moment with Linda is what inspired me to start Granny’s on the Go.

Today I still design every bag with the same goal:

To make everyday life a little easier
and a lot more beautiful.
